Kids Can Earn FREE IN-N-OUT Burgers for Reading!

Reading Challenge starts March 2, 2024

March 2, 2024

The In-N-Out Burger, Cover to Cover Club Reading Program has begun!

From March 2 - April 13, 2024 kids ages 4-12 can receive a FREE In-N-Out hamburger or cheeseburger for logging their reading on Beanstack.

If you live in Rancho Cucamonga, you may attempt to head to the Archibald or Paul Biane Library to get more information and sign your kids up.....but our libraries as amazing as they are, are run by the City of Rancho Cucamonga and are not part of the San Bernardino County Libraries.

There is good news though, there are San Bernardino County Libraries close to Rancho Cucamonga so your kids CAN participate! So, here is what you will need to do to sign your kids up for the IN-N-OUT goodness...

1. Log into Beanstalk and create an account for each of your kids (ages 4-12)

2. Once you create the account/s, click on the CHALLENGES tab at the top.

3. Scroll down until you see the IN-N-OUT Reading Challenge and click on it. It will look like the picture below

4.Then click JOIN CHALLENGE.

5. Each day your kids read, you'll go onto Beanstalk and log their minutes (for older kids) or books (for younger kids). The program runs from March 2, 2024-April 13, 2024

Your kids will earn a "badge" and unlock a reward: Every 5 books for younger kids and 5 hours for older kids. To redeem your badge for the In-N-OUT reward, you will head to your closest library, which I will list below, to pick up your certificates! It's super easy.

Here are the local libraries around Rancho Cucamonga participating in the IN-N-OUT program:

Kaiser Branch Library, 11155 Almond Ave., Fontana (909) 357-5900

Lewis Library & Technology Center, 8437 Sierra Ave., Fontana (909) 574-4500

San Bernardino Library, 15551 Summit Ave., Fontana (909) 357-5950

The San Bernardino County Library is partnering with In-N-Out Burger again this year to promote reading among children this spring. The Cover to Cover program kicks off on Saturday, March 2 and will run through Saturday, April 13. This program will encourage students to read in all communities across the county.

To participate in this program, sign up online through Beanstack at sbclib.beanstack.org. For every five books or 300 pages read, an achievement award will be unlocked on Beanstack, and a voucher for a free hamburger or cheeseburger will be issued at your local County Library branch. Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 12 and must be present at the time of redemption to receive a voucher. Each child may earn a total of three awards for the duration of the program.

In support of the Countywide Vision’s Vision2Read literacy campaign as well as San Bernardino County’s Opportunity Campaign, this program will help to improve literacy among children ages 4 to 12, with the help of incentives, by inspiring an excitement to read, providing achievement goals and encouraging a reading routine.

The San Bernardino County Library System is a dynamic network of 32 branch libraries that serve a diverse population over a vast geographic area.
